We are pleased to inform you that the owners of Wymed AG, Christoph Meier and Werner Zgraggen, have successfully arranged their corporate succession in terms of long-term corporate security. The buyer of Wymed AG is Granita Holding AG, to which the German Hipp Technology Group GmbH already belongs (https://www.hipp-technologygroup.com/ ). The alliance between Wymed and HIPP Technology Group creates a leading precision mechanics group in the DACH region (German speaking Europe) with a medical technology share of over 65%. The new group achieved sales of around EUR 50 million in 2019 and employs around 230 people.
Wymed AG will remain independent and will continue to be managed by Marc Plihal as CEO and Pascal Dürst as COO. Nothing will change for the employees of Wymed and the production sites in Freienstein-Teufen and Rorbas will be retained. Christoph Meier will also be a new member of the Board of Directors of Granita Holding AG and will bring his many years of experience to the new group of companies.
